In preparation for the premiere of Jennifer Lopez’s Netflix documentary Halftime on June 8 at the Tribeca Film Festival, celebrity man-icurist Tom Bachik created a gorgeous reverse French nail design that garnered much attention from nail enthusiasts, beauty devotees and media outlets, including Allure, PopSugar and Shape magazine, among others. Bachik’s goal? “We needed to be able to match any look for her Netflix Halftime premiere, so of course we kept it neutral and fun in a modern and retro way,” he says.
Bachik began with a nude base, and using Mia Secret Gelux Gel Polish in White and a liner brush, her created subtle and elegant sweeps of white at the cuticle of some nails and along the free edge of others. He capped the set with Mia Secret Matte Top Coat. But before finishing, he sculpted tiny white flowers with Mia Secret White Acrylic Powder and adhered them to a couple of the nails. The overall look, according to Bachik, was minimalist, chic and playful.
